Digital Process
I have been asked the question, "What process do you use to create your digital images?" Well, it always surprises the person asking when I respond, "With my phone!" I put this page together to show a step-by-step process of how I do it on my cell phone (Android) and an app. The rough, pre-sketch takes only a few minutes, but the digital painting takes a bit of time (more or less depending on how I'm satisfied as it's progressing). The great thing about having all this on my phone is that it is with me all the time; so all I have to do is take it out of my pocket and work on it wherever I happen to be. I've done this while waiting on my car to be serviced, waiting on my wife while she's shopping for the kids' shoes, heck, even waiting in the line at the store. I didn't like waiting before, now, not so much! Check it out!
Once I had finished with the second character, I was able to give the first character's eyes (I waited to know exactly where he needed to be looking, notice the original sketch has him looking straight, and now he's looking to his left at the second character.)
I then look it over to make any changes and add any needed highlights. And, voila!
